I'd like to start putting some of these togther - just day rides out and about and looking for suggestions of where to go. I know a shed load of places and will post them up of course :) but if you have a place you'd liek to see or a road you'd like to visit then chances are that other people may want to see them too.

I'd suggest meeting at ....

Just as a guide 10am - gives anyone a ways away time to come up/across or down.

Jnc 34 M6 at the Holiday Inn carpark - I'm thinking this way anyone early can get a coffee at the hotel. I would of said Devil's Bridge but the cafe is inconsistent.

Local-ish rides I can suggest off the bat

Squires Cafe
Hawes via Devil's Bridge
Cat and Fiddle run
Cumbrian Passes
Windermere cross ride
Snake's Pass - Peak District

Y'gods man - Squires ffs? You can do better than that. I live 30 mins (at speed) from it and I still haven't gone in almost 4 years. It's not worth it unless you want to look at lots of sports bikes.

Buy I applaud your idea though :)

I know, I know B) Squires is a bit of a let down, a large carpark and full of brightly coloured baboons

But for many it's a tick off coffee and I was thinking that Salford Tony is rather new to all this :)

I have plenty of ideas for day rides around the area :)

You heard about this Triumph Cruiser day in Dent? Being a Rocket III man and all.

Just thinking of getting something going for the week after the Cumbria weekender.
Maybe an easy ride over to Hawes or something.
